Mozambique Hunting Safaris

Mozambique – The official hunting concessions in Mozambique are known as Coutadas. In addition to these Coutadas there are also different community areas around the central and northern parts of the country. Mozambique is famous for its large herds of Sable, high concentration of leopard and buffalo as well as many other species of plainsgame. The terrain is generally flat or gently undulating and scattered with inselbergs. Miombo woodland is the most extensive type of vegetation found in the northern part of the country. In central Mozambique the terrain is also relatively flat with two distinct ecosystem, providing habitat for a wide range of animal species.

Hunting Season – The best time to hunt in Mozambique is from late June through to mid November, with the earlier months being better for the cats.
